XDM 3.8 compact

Does anyone have any experience with the xdm 3.8. I am debating between the baby glock and the springfield. I have small hands and dont really care for the full size weapons. I have handled the subcompact glocks and i am not crazy about the hump on the grip. But I can live and adapt to it. It points good and i like the trigger. I have the m&p compact and i like it alot. Just would like to have something different. Also i know of glock reliability, but cant find any info on the 3.8 compact. Any info is greatly appreciated. Btw i will be looking for them both at the next gun show to fondle.

Its a nice pistol in 45

I still like my M&P 45 C better, but the XDM is nice

I have the XD you are speeking of. I perfer it over a Glock for several reasons,and by the way I am very familiar with a Glock.I work in law enforcement and of course the Glock is very visible.However I like the XD feel better and point better.I like the trigger way better.I like the grip safety just because,and because I shoot every week I need to reload and as we all know that let's a Glock out.I recently qualified first in our mandatory schedule.There were 10. Of us 5 with Glocks.Don't just drink the kool aid ck out both I think the XD is simply better.

I agree. I have had this gun for a long while and shoot it a lot. All it does is eat everything it's fed and produces accuracy better than a shooter can achieve. I have no interest in starting another war, but it is a better made gun than the Glock, and I have and use both. Really it comes down to personal preference and ergonomics. Both are accurate and reliable. I also prefer the grip safety.

Thanks for the response. I handled the glock today and it feels good, also handled the sr9c. I liked it also, but i racked the slide and it felt like it had sand in the action! The xdm compact 3.8 is hard to find around here though and will have to wait 2 more months to see if there is one at the next gun show.

My 3.8 compact is a 40SW. Really, really, REALLY like it.

I have the XDm (in 4.5" 9mm) and G26-Gen 4. If you get the Gen 4 G26, then both will have the adjustable backstraps. I have smaller hands and the XDm just has better ergonomics for me but I love both the same but for different aspects.
