Hello 45Badger................

I'm in Adams County. I am planning for the York Gun show, if I can get up and down my dive.

Yes I'll be there, also assuming I can get up and down the driveway...or down the street, etc.

Not a bad show!

If you are in the market for an AR15, get there tomorrow. Several dealers selling NIB Stags for $750, one guy had NIB DMPS guns for $650.

I got some ammo, mags, holster, and other stuff. All very good deals

I was there today. I love that show - it smokes anything we have here in Maryland. Although I had to search a bit, I found tons of ammo for great prices, and I found a rare Marlin magazine that I've been looking for. And it was a great price.

I saw a left handed Stag AR for either $650 or $695. It was tempting, but I prefer to eat and pay my mortgage right now.....

Saw lots of decent deals on rifles......being broke is a horrible thing.

The Harrisburg show is alot bigger, I think the Harrisburg show is 1200 tables and the York is usually about 400 tables.

Harrisburg is bigger but I've come to doubt the 1200 table claim. Seems a bit smaller, with lots of jerky, jewelry, and jerk....swords.

Cost $8 to get in (free if you renew NRA membership), and parking is $5. Add 8-9 gallons of gas, and it's not always such a deal. Beating what I can scare up on line by $40 is pretty hard. OTOH, it's a good way to waste a 6-7 hours.................

Understood. But since any time I'm in Harrisburg it means I'm visiting the mothership, it works out fine -- sleep in my good bed, cook on a gas stove, do any chores my mom has lined up for me around the house ("take down the birdfeeder, change these lightbulbs, etc"). And though I'm ambivalent at best about the NRA, they're marginally better than nothing, so I'll probably renew the membership I started last year at that same show.

Harrisburg is larger, but with more non-gun vendors and some just plain junk.

I happen to think the absolute best show venue around us is the King of Prussia shows. No junk allowed, i.e. - no jerky/nut vendors. The clientele doesn't merely walk and galk at that show, they SPEND. That draws some of the best vendors from all around the area, and I've seen the tough to find items I usually only ever see on the internet there. I usually avoid gun shows; I just don't like being there. This one's a pleasure to attend.
