I once saw a picture of a Kydex holster. It had a version of a sweat shield/flab tab, that only extended UNTIL the thumb safety. Made in such a way that it would not let the (thumb) safety move off safe. Without actually covering the (thumb) safety.
I can't remember who the maker was? Does anybody know what/who I'm talking about?

Could have been custom. Kydex is easy to form/cut in the way you described. I dont know of any company that forms 1911 holsters that way as standard.

It was a standard feature, on somebody's website. Smaller maker, though.
I was looking for something else, at the time, or I would have bookmarked it.
