I have an unmarked Yugo M48, and the stock is so ruined with cosmoline, it still weeps and the POI changes with the TX heat. I was thinking about getting a new stock and having it properly bedded. There are several choices on Boyd's, 48 vs 48a. I remember reading that the unmarked Yugo M48s were really 48Bs, which have some stamped parts compared to a 48A?
I just want to be able to order the correct stock for it. I already have an S*K scope mount on it, and have the original sight in a bag somewhere, so the rifle can someday be returned to "stock" with it's "collector value" unharmed except by shooting it, and perhaps a tastefully done trigger job.
So would the Yugo 48A be the right choice?
