Zastava M57 Tokarev

Hey guys I am looking to buy a new handgun and have become very interested in the 7.62x25 pistol variants like the Tokarev, specifically the new production CAI Zastava M57.

first of all, is there any reason to NOT buy the new Zastava M57 version when looking for a Tokarev? I can find a surplus one for significantly cheaper but cannot find an M57 for less than $250...I've heard the safety on the M57 is a huge improvement over the crudely added-on safeties of other variants. if anyone knows where to find the best deal on a Tokarev please let me know. Also where can the cheapest 7.62x25 ammo be found?

-25 ammo has gone up a lot in the last few years, seems the surplus must have dried up. Check ammoseek or gunbot for ammo prices, not really cheap though. 9mm and 40 will be cheaper as will many other calibers.

New has advantages and as you said, the safety being done better is a big one. I find the added Yugo safety to be OK and you get another round in the mag, the CZ52 is good and the safety was put on there in the original design so it's well done.
