Zavasta SKS

Any one have any opinions on the Zavasta SKS?

The store I go to has a bunch of them in stock and they look rather great. Supposedly of new manufacture.

Also any one have any opinion on the SKS with the Yugo style grenade launcher v. the one without? My though is to get the one with it if it does not compromise accuracy.

I had a Yugo SKS with the grenade launcher. A lot of people don't seem to like them for some reason, but I loved mine. It was built like a tank and much more solid than my current Norinco SKS. Wish I had never sold it...

I even turned it into a makeshift bolt action by closing off the gas valve. I think I was able to get a little extra accuracy out of it but I never shot paper so I don't have any solid proof of the fact.

I'd say get whichever one is cheapest.

My M59 66 SKS is the sweetest shooter . THe heft and thicker barrel makes it more accurate. If you can get the one with out the grenade launcher , the better . But the former generally shoots tighter groups from my experience.
