Was at the range today trying some handloads in my 22-250 and having trouble with focus on the scope. It is a simmons whitetail classic and I've had it for a few years now. Anyway, I just could not get a clear sight picture and thought it was my eyes. It probably is mainly my eyes since they are getting old. But then a guy shows with a rifle with a zeiss 3.5 x 10 I believe it was and let's me take a look through it. Clear as can be without me having to touch it. I've got to have one.

I have a leupold on my 308 and I got it out when I got back just to see if it was my eyes but it was very clear also. But now I want a zeiss also.

Nope, it's the scope. Might be broken actually.

Get the zeiss. You probably won’t get a better scope, no matter where you search. Save some money for a while, then buy the exact one you need (in specs), and you will not be wondering for the rest of your life if you could see any better.

Zeiss has a specific line of scopes designed for north America, were competition is more intense (not in quality, because you have a lot of junk scopes, but in pricing). That line is called Conquest, has 1 inch tubes and you can get it for half the price of any European Zeiss 30mm scope. Here in Europe we won’t get a zeiss for less than 1.000 euros (1 euro is 1.26 USD). We don’t have Conquest model here (we don’t use 1 inch tube, anyways).

I have a zeiss too (30mm tube). When it is too dark for me to see, it is definitely too dark for everybody else to see. And I like that, lololol
