I have a box of Zero brand bullet heads in .452 diameter.

They are very different from anything else of I've ever used before in the lead variety. Instead of wax in the cannular (sp?) groove, there is an oily type of lubricant. It is sort of dark grey in color.

Not sure if these are moly coated or what.

Any special or different I should be doing with these????

Thanks for your help.

Chris

No, load as usual. I have shot some and had best results at target load type velocities but other than that shoot em up!!

They (Zero) are one county away from me. Their 200-gr LSWC bullet "heads" are very good when I load them below 775 fps. They are not moly coated, they are lubed. I don't believe moly can bind to lead but I could be wrong.

BTW, you can just call them bullets...

That is just a waxy dip or spray lube, adequate for target velocity. I wouldn't try to push them in heavy loads; some of the guys here tried service loads with their similar .38s and had heavy lead fouling.
