I was looking at buying some of these bullets and read that they are sized to .431. Is this ok for jacketed bullets? I guess it must be, or they wouldn't sell them, right? Most cast 44 bullets are .430, How are .431 jacketed safe?

I used a couple thousand of these before I began casting my own, and they were excellent in my Rugers. They were very consistent from bullet to bullet and shot very accurately I don’t recall ever hearing any negatives about them. A friend of mine still uses them.

zero makes one of the best bullet going and has some of the best price too. i use thousands each year of their 357 bullets. i have shot many of the 44 mag bullut and they worked well.

The Zero 240 JSPs are great in my Marlin 1894 and revolvers.

Don't get too excited about the .431" diameter. Think about the force required to resize a bullet--even a jacketed bullet resizes 0.002" with very little force.

I also like the zero bullets in 44. Much like you, OP, I wondered about the sizing but it turns out it just doesn't even matter.

SAAMI specs for 44 Magnum handgun barrels is .429" groove diameter. In 44 magnum rifles the spec. is .431". If you are shooting a .431" bullet in a .429" barrel there is only .001" "interference" fit per side of the bullet, or there is only an extra .001" of rifling engagement...

Thanks everyone! I'm going to place my order today. I'll be shooting these in a Redhawk with 5.5" barrel

Nice choice.
Thanks! I couldn't be more excited! This is a dream revolver for me. I'm just hoping I can shoot it well.
I've also got some 240 powder coated SWC on the way that I'm going start experimenting with. I'm going to push these with 3 powders until I find the one I like best, Unique, BE-86 and Herco.

Zero 240 JSP is my preferred bullet for 44mag. They work perfectly well in my Ruger Blackhawk, Desert Eagle, and Rossi M92.

What load did you work up for them? Do all of them like the same load? I am sitting at 20.2g 2400 1.60" and both my SBH and Henry Big Boy like it but curious what you worked up

I have a H100 load for the handguns that I like, but for the rifle I like 300MP.
