ZOMG new type of pistol!?

After listening to the news, Something I never heard of before grabbed my attention: A "semi-automatic-machine-pistol." The news story was about a Shooting At Birthday Party in Baltimore Blah Blah Blah... I dont care about that, I Just want to know how I can get my hands on one of these so called "semi-automatic-machine-pistols" Cuz it sounds totally badass!

Semi-automatic machine pistol is an oxymoron. A machine pistol by definition is a pistol capable of burst or full auto fire (Glock 18, for example). If it is limited to semi-automatic fire, then it cannot be a machine pistol.

Somewhere there is a picture grid of a bunch of different rifles and they are all incorrectly labeled as AK-47s and M-16s. The Title of it is something like "guns of journalists" or something to that extent.

Didn't Baltimore recently get the FBI's vote for being the most violent city in the country?... highest murder rate per capita... followed closely by Detroit and DC. I am betting that this mentality has something to do with it.
