The 1891's are cock on close. But it's hard for me to close. It has a bent bolt handle with out a round knob. That don't help any. If i change the firing pin spring would it help. I don't shoot steel case. Thanks Al.

The cock on close Enfields are pretty easy to close. The Mauser and Arisakas are, in my experience, harder. It shouldn’t be “physically difficult” though, that suggests maybe a mechanical issue, but definitely not effortless.

I just put a 1911 recoil spring in. Boy what a difference. I changed the trigger spring before. It dropped the pull down to 5lbs. With the 1911 spring it's 2.5 -3 lbs. I load with cast data. So large pistol primers are good to go.

I didn't mess with the striker mec. I did use my palm. That helped. But it was still hard to close. The new spring i put it in. Made a huge difference. Im taking it out later this afternoon. And see how it perform.

You say you're running reloads in it. Have you tried closing the bolt on a factory 7.65 round for comparison sake just to eliminate the possibility of ammo causing your stiff bolt?
