Read an article in gun digest a while ago on how the 1000 yd blackpowder rifle targets around the 1900s were 6 feet by 6 feet with a 3 ft square black bullseye in the center.

Got me wondering on what the dimensions of the targets are for highpower rifle, you know, the overall size and then the size of the black bullseye. Do you use bigger ones for the longer ranges?

I sometimes shoot my ARs at 300 yd targets that I made from cardboard with a 12 inch rectangular bullseye in the middle, and with iron sights, depending on ammo, I can get an average of about 9 inch groups. Not fantastic, but it is what it is. My point is that the 12 in. bullseye is a TINY dot on top of my iron sight, so I naturally wondered what size targets High Power competitors come up against.

You can't hit what you can't see.

The black portion of the target is always 6 MoA (there abouts).

SR2 (200yds)
X ring-3.00 "
10 ring-7.00"
9 ring-13.00"

SR3 (300yds--same exact target only 8 ring is also black)
8 ring-19"

At 600yds the 7-ring is also black:
X ring-6.00"
10 ring-12.00"
9 ring-18.00"
8 ring-24.00"
7 ring-36.00"

And the LR target for 800-1000yds
X ring-10.00"
10 ring 20.00"
9 ring 30.00"
8 ring 44.00"
