Serial number location

Federal law requires the serial# to be on the frame or receiver of the firearm.

which doesn't actually help a whole lot, the guy is asking where it is located.


I looked at pics on Gunbroker, and was unable to find the serial on any of the 10 or so PTR 91's I looked at. On the Century version its on the left side of the Magwell, on the JDL version I didn't see it.

ATF, to my knowledge, doesn't specify where on the receiver it needs to be.

I believe it would be on the top of the receiver forward of the rear sight.
