Especially with people new to shooting, I don't care what terms they use as long as what they intended to say promotes the responsible use of firearms. I might make a special effort to use the proper terminology in front of them to help them out.
What makes me "grit my teeth" is the intentional doublespeak used by those with an anti gun agenda to intentional mislead and misinform people to promote their agenda of disarming American citizens.
I think the one that gets me most is the AR-15 being a "Weapon of War" that only "Belongs on a Battlefield". Oh really? Well wasn't it specifically designed for law enforcement? If it's a weapon of war, why is there one in the trunk of every police car in the entire country? Why does all gun restrictions make exceptions for police use? If they need one, we need one, because police show up after the crime.
