As my collection grew over the years there have been moments when I can not find a certain gun or when I even stumble across one I don’t remember buying. But I never TRULY lost a gun, they always turn up.
Yesterday I could not find my CZ 75. I fit Einstein’s definition of insanity by going through the safe many times over with the same results, no CZ. I mean, I kept that pistol in the same location since I bought it 20-25 years ago.
Well rather than wait for it to show up I became a rabid Bulldog and wouldn’t let it go. Rather than doing important things that needed tending, I spent two and a half hours going through all of the safes and special hiding places.
I finally found it in a buried range bag. I think I last shot it 4-5 years ago. Then I was WAY behind on day going forward.
I bought this before owning a CZ was “cool”. This was when CZ was the industry’s best kept secret. Pricing was in line with that of a Taurus. Then Dan Wesson bought them and immediately jacked the price up $100. Then kept going up from there.
