In the next month or two I'm planning on upgrading a few scopes.
I carried my AR15 in 7.62x39 this year for deer season and I really liked it. Short, handy and I dont have to worry about banging it around. It currently wears a cheap tasco world class 1.5-4.5x32 that I took a chance on. It works ok but now that I've decided how much I like the rifle I want to upgrade.
Overall I will use the rifle for hunting and for home defense, maybe for a three gun match or two if I want to try it out.
Wants in the new optic are 1-6 or 1-8 and lighted reticle (I've never had one and I think they are cool)
The woods I hunt are awful thick so low power is necessary and I'd like 6ish power on the top end for range trips
I've been doing a lot of research and I think I've decided on the Burris RT6. Any opinions on this scope? Any other alternatives i should check out?
I'll admit I'm biased towards burris because I love my fullfield ii, my dad has a vortex in the same price point and I think the burris is better
