Most UPS locations are non-corporate satellite stores that will redirect you to some distant corporate location, if it’s a gun. This is not true for FedEx.
BTW, I always notify them if I’m shipping a gun.
If there were a Hazmat charge involved, you as a regular citizen would be unable to ship it or have it sent by common carrier (UPS and FedEx). Hazmat requires a certification by the party shipping the item(s) in question - UPS or FedEx cannot do this for you. It is not something seen outside a business environment.Is there a hazmat charge?
