I have experence with a Savage 110 and a Remington 721 both the same caliber, the 721 was my grandfathers.
It did ok with factory green n yellow corelokt 180 gr but I wouldnt call it a target rifle, it had no problems potting Sandhills whitetales and mulies.
Then along came the Savage.
It changed my expectation of what scoped 30/06 rifles are capable of.
That Alaskan Savage has quite the story and I Dont think Id part with it just because its accurate, I spent some time fitting its 95% inletted walnut stock.
It was a winter project rifle.
