My safe is installed under an overhanging shelf that really limits the amount of light that shines inside when the door is opened. As a result, seeing the back row of my upper handgun shelf isn’t easy. I’m often grabbing the wrong gun when looking for a particular one or missing the slot in the rack when putting one away.
I saw these LED lights on Amazon and bought a two-pack to try out. They use three Duracell AAA batteries and have a magnetic or tape mount that sticks to the wall and holds the light. They’re small enough in diameter to magnetically stick onto a little shelf right above the door of my Cannon safe. Now I can see all the way to the back of the safe.
The neatest part is the motion sensor. When I open the door and reach inside both lights pop on and light up the dark area on the top shelf. After 20 seconds or so of sensing no motion, they shut off.

I’m going to order two more and mount them on the safe walls under the shelf so my rifle/shotgun areas get lit better than they currently are.
Just thought I’d share an idea for those of us with a safe in an area of the house with so-so lighting who either can’t or don’t want to wire an electric light into the safe.
Stay safe.
