Just for something to do I have decided to chrony some of the high velocity 22LR ammo in my collection. Interested in seeing how close they get to published velocities in my rifle. I know for example CCI velocitors while being a hard hitter in 22LR, dont reach their claims of 1435fps( at least in my guns or internet tests)
Test rifle is a Ruger 96/22 lever action( closed breech gun) with a 18.5" barrel
Chrony is a Prochrono.
Will add 5 shot strings and extreme spreads.

Starting line up.
CCI Velocitor 40 grain 1435fps claimed
CCI Stinger 32 grain, 1640fps claimed
CCI Segmented EX HP 32 grain, 1640fps claimed.
Remington Yellow Jacket 33 grain, 1500fps claimed.
Aguila Interceptor HP 40 grain, 1470fps claimed.
Aguila Supermax HP 30 grains, 1700fps claimed
