Today I finally got out to the range to try out my New Ruger GP 100 and my Henry Golden Boy 22. I also got to put a few rounds out with my Ruger SP 101 too.
The Henry was a rifle I bid on at a Friends of the NRA dinner in November that My wife made me put away till after Christmas. The GP 100 was and impulse by a week before I went to the Friends of NRA dinner because I had my eye on one for a long time because I wanted a full size revolver to add to my collection.
I was mostly just trying to get a feel for The two newest guns with some 38 sp loads I had worked up with rmr 124gr bullets and Tight group. I also fired some full Magnum 357 loads I had previously loaded but don't really know for sure the specs accept they were 158 grain bullets. All in all things went pretty good but I sure need more practice especially shooting double action. My SP 101 has had little trigger work and a wolf spring kit put in it. So it was a little better in the double action mode but no match in accuracy in single action mode. Of course the longer sight radius and better sights on the GP `100 have a lot to do with that.
The GP-100 is a lot easier to shoot full mag 357 in than the little Sp 101 snuby but that is to be expected.
Now the Henry Golden Boy 22 is a dream to shoot but almost feels like a toy compared to my other pistols and riffles. My wife loves the Henry so much and thinks I should hang it on the wall in our family room its so pretty.
Great day at the Range

I get the same feeling with my Henry Frontier Octagon, but I think that's the nature of most 22lr. They're so light and soft shooting.

Glad you had a good day at the range. Oh, and a Golden Boy would look great on a wall!
