Is there an O/U made featuring .223/5.56 with a 12 or 20 gauge shotgun?
I have the the 24V, .357 over 20 gauge. My daughter has taken several deer with the .357 and my special handloads. It came with tapped holes for a scope mount, and is quite accurate even though the trigger has a bit to be desired. They also supposedly did a .357 Mag rifle barrel over either 12 or 20; not sure which.
That’s the top of the class, but expect to pay accordingly, as in $800+.Valmet made them also, the 412.
I had one like the one on top. Choke was extra-full and kind of poor for upland hunting. The combo was illegal for waterfowl hunting if the rifle barrel was loaded, perhaps even if you had rifle ammo on you? Choke was extra-full, so not especially good for jump-shooting grouse. It was also dangerous to carry with the hammer back, and the safety on the hammer wasn't quick to release. Too bad, because the combination had great promise, but didn't fulfill the role.Savage 24V Series D .223 0ver 20ga. Top one in picture. Topped with a Charles Daly Scope that was on it when I got it and works fine. Bottom one is a Savage Campers Companion in .22 over 20ga.View attachment 1167520
