Hmmm, thanks for the heads up, UpTheIrons
Another interesting statement by the Manager is he stated - “I own guns but why would anyone want to carry them around women and children”.
I sent their customer service email a comment, thanking them for allowing open carry in their locations.

The Examiner page also links to several UFO stories...although it seems they're reporting on a specific report from a real person, I find it hard to take them seriously because of their tin-foil hat affiliations.
Taken at face value, this would appear to lend credence to the report. It also gives the impression that they are taking a more active than passive stance on this subject. I hope this remains the case over time, and is reflected in training programs.Update -- A Starbucks Representative contacted me and said "there has not been any policy change and Starbucks follows the laws of the state and municipalities they are located in"
They also said "this has been a misunderstanding and apologies go out to any customers this may have inconvenienced".
Thanks for contacting Starbucks Coffee Company.
Thank you for your words of encouragement!
For Starbucks, the safety of our customers and partners is a paramount concern. We have existing security protocols in place to handle situations related to safety in our stores. We will continue to adhere closely to local, state and federal laws and the counsel of law enforcement regarding this issue.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.
Warm Regards,
Samson D.
