Okay guys, since I first heard about this gun, I've been DYING to get one. If you can tell from the photos, it's a Bird's Head grip New Vaquero, limited talo edition, in 45 colt.
Very nice! had one of the OMV with the birdshead grip but ended up trading it for a sheriff's model. been eying the new ones in .45acp when I have the money.
That's a sweet looking pistol. Has Ruger changed the shape of their birdshead grip? It looks kinda different. Maybe the wood is a little more rounded at the heel?

Unlike some others the .45 Colt is very nice revolver caliber. Since I do not have long thumbs I would not mind owning single action Ruger Bisley in .45.
I just bought one of these too... I was surprised that it doesn't really kick as much as I thought it would.... and it is a point and shoot type feel to it....
I'd like to try the feel of one of those. The typical single-action style of grips don't really agree with my hands that well. If I grip my s/a's in a comfortable, natural feeling manner, every one of them points way too high. I have to make a conscious effort to hold them correctly so I can hit even close.
