Hey All,
This leather is kind of lame, compared to most leather that I have seen here on this subforum.....but...
At this time, I am not in a hurry to spend money for nice leather, as I am not a cowboy action shooter, and so the rig will only be worn on occasional range visits.
This is the cheapo leather from Cabelas, I think Triple K is the maker?
It fits my 5.5" Cimarron 1858 perfectly, and the belt is soft and works perfectly.
The holster and belt are super oiled from the factory, to the point of needing to be wiped down on occasion! But, the oil does add some suppleness to the leather.
No fancy stitching, no stamping, no rolled edges, but for my needs, this rig will serve it's purpose. I think I paid less than 100 dollars WITH shipping!
So, if you've wondered about cheapo Cabelas leather....go ahead, take a chance!
