AK, keep in mind that if you shorten the mag tube (shorter than factory/stock), you gotta move the barrel guide ring back and mod the action bars. These are not simple mods which is why I opted to keep the stock mag tube configuration.

Thinking more about this thread and the Serbu itself - does the Serbu accommodate 3" high brass/magnum loads in the 2+1 setup? I am just wondering what it is like to shoot magnum loads with such a short barrel. I bet that is cool looking at night/dusk. The 11.5" barrel on the 870 is hard...
