Who makes your favorite functional holsters?

I have a couple of Black-Ops Pro's from Pure Kustom. Last year I got one for my CZ-75B and used it for the handgun self defense course at Front Sight. When I put in my order for a Ruger SR1911, I also called Rocky and ordered another Black-Ops Pro for the 1911. His website is...

    Conical Bullets

Up until now I've been casting .451 balls for my repro .44 Cal. 1858 Remington New Army Service revolver. Looking through the Lee catalog, I see that they have a mold for .44 Cal Remington as a conical bullet. It has 2 lube grooves and they say that the lube will also prevent flashing - so no...

    Clean Brass w/out Tumbling

My experience with a vibratory system wasn't good. First of all, it took several hours, then I spent a lot of time picking the corncob media out of the primer pockets - I decap before I clean. What works for me is the Lyman ultrasonic cleaner. Two 10-minute cycles and the brass is clean and shiny.

    Any used presses to avoid?

I'm using a Lee Breech Lock Hand Press. The kit was only $60 and it works just fine for me. I'm currently loading 9mm and after case prep I load about 50 rounds per hour.

Lee classic Turret press info needed

Thanks for the pointers Wooly - I'm still learning, so any constructive feedback is always appreciated. I may not have mentioned it, but I have a major space constraint. That is another reason why I converted over to the Lee Hand Press. I've got the entire bench (except consumables) in a...

Lee classic Turret press info needed

I started out a couple of months ago with a Lee turret kit. I found that some of my loads didn't fire (squibs), mainly because the primers were not well seated. That and the action of the turret gave me cause to reconsider how I was going to do my reloading. After consulting with some guys on...

All the new new reloaders. (Making the news)

Another noob - me! Last winter when I was in Arizona, I wasn't able to get any 9mm ammo. I decided that I would get into reloading. Since I also shoot cap and ball, I was partway into reloading. Money and space were my big constraints. I first read what I could on the subject, and even though...

    Looking for a 2nd press...

Ditto Xelera. I'm using the Lee Breech Lock Hand Press in my RV. My entire bench (other than supplies) fits in a 19" x 7" x 7-1/2" metal toolbox.

Is Lee round ball mold ok?

One of the local guys here demo'ed melting lead from wheel weights and I ended up with about 30 lbs of ingots. So I got a production pot and started casting .454 balls - that part ran smoothly. However, because WW lead is harder than pure lead, the balls were difficult to load with the loading...

    .44 Safary black powder revolver

I also have a C&B that is stamped with Safari Arms. Mine, however is a reproduction of the 1858 Remington New Army Service, .44 cal, with a 7-1/2" barrel. It was made of stainless steel with a brass trigger guard.

    The Triple P Loader

Thanks. That looks a lot more robust than the flimsy one that Cabelas sells.

    Cabela's Revolver Stolen in Shipping?

FYI, I had sold a set of sterling silver medallions on ebay for about $4,000 two years ago and shipped them via UPS (insured). The driver "left the package" at the end of the buyer's driveway - no signature. Paypal scooped the funds out of my account. I sued UPS in small claims court - as soon...

    The Triple P Loader

I had purchased a desk top type of loader similar to the one Cabelas sells, but it is flimsy. I had emailed 6gun in March, but never got a reply. I would be interested in getting a loader that is solid for my .44. Who is Dick Dastardly, what's his product like & how does one get in touch with him?

    Remington 870 Marine Magnum

Boberama, I bought a 12-gauge 870 Express Kit in Canada. It has the two barrels, a shorter one that is rifled and a longer one that is a smooth bore with a modified choke. The barrels are easily and quickly changed. In fact I remove mine for cleaning after shooting with it. There was no issue of...
