Yes, quite a bit of a difference. Bullet weight is important too. You can shoot .44 Special out of a magnum. I'd say the recoil feels 4 times as intense.

If you plan on carrying in a pocket I'd go with the LCR. If you plan on carrying on the belt, consider the 101. I personally would purchase a 101, and plan to very soon. I think a light .357 mag in an SP101 would be kind of fun to shoot. But, would probably carry as powerful a .38 as...

I love the air weight revolvers. You should try and shoot one, first, before jumping to conclusions. Any lighter, like scandium, is too light for me.

As long as the hammer is cocked by the time you get on target, I'm not sure it matters much. DavidE's single action speed was very fast.

I don't recall the OP asking for opinions on the matter. He simply said he had made his choice. He weighed in on his view, that's all. He has decided to carry a single action. He said that he shoots it well and it goes bang every time. It's done already. Chill out.

I would prefer to settle on one gun, or type, and stick with it, as the best for me. I seem to be too fickle about it. Whether it was years of military training or starting out with a revolver, but generally, I find the idea of trying to learn to shoot with different platforms a little silly...

The 938 pre-stages rounds in the magazine. The second, third etc. feed easy. The first one might be harder to chamber. I find the 938 loads much easier than other small autos, except for the stiff mag spring. Load the first round and pull out the mag. You'll see what I mean by pre-staged.
