At about the five minute mark in Ian's Youtube video, it seems like the serial number is on the front of the frame, about where your fingers would lay.

Sectional density (SD) is a ratio of weight to diameter. A 147 9mm, 180 .40 and a 230 grain .45 all have the same SD.
