The Break Free CLP won't do that to a 10/22 nearly as quickly as Break Free Powder Blast solvent, which is what the OP was using.
Edited to add: Don't get that stuff near a hydrodipped camo shotgun, or you'll be sending it back to have it fully stripped and re-dipped! Don't ask me how I know.
raz-0: Your thoughts are appreciated and duly noted. Honestly, I'm going to be miffed if Federal is quoting velocity from 6" test barrels. That's no different than quoting rifle caliber velocities from 26-28" test barrels (which they've all done).
My thoughts about this situation boils down...
olyeller: I was, and continue to be, completely shocked! I was merely hoping for a few new stickers to dress up my toolbox here at home and was blown away when my name was called!
JoeSlomo: I was thinking along those same lines regarding Federal's response. In the email, I didn't mention any...
Thanks for all of your kind words and informative posts. She's made the executive decision and put me in charge of acquiring a chrono for us both and she's chosen to standardize on 124gr factory loads (after chronographing a sample of various brands) for that slight extra margin of PF until we...
First, let me get right this right out of the way. The red (burgundy/maroon) box Federal 9mm 115gr will not make minor power factor out of a standard full size S&W M&P9. My wife discovered this today after 10 out of 12 grueling rounds in the Area 4 Championship when she failed chronographing...
I prefer to be left alone when I'm shopping. I'm not there to be interrogated by some salesman that wants to make his commission, and I'm not there to buy what some stranger thinks is going to be best for me. I make my own decisions about what I buy, so if I dislike it, I have no one to blame...

The ATF had a field day when they noticed Colt M16s and M4s in the pile. When traced back to the "US Commercial Manufacturer" they learned that those were in a Mexican Govt order for their military and then suddenly they changed their tune to X number of them are not traceable. They did an...
He's a regular troll from AR15.com who got his pee-pee whacked pretty hard over there. He then decided to change his forum handle from elcid11 to elcid11rocks. :barf:
He has a terrible reputation all over the Pacific Northwest and is quite full of himself.
elcid11, just how many threads...
Since when is any of the following a "$500 gun?"
More like $250.
You're over-dramatizing and you know as well as anyone the rules at the EE on AR15.
You are not allowed to post a single word in an ad unless it is a legitimate question about the item for sale, or to conduct a transaction...
Yes to 2 or 3 is automatic denial. There is a difference of admitted and committed in Arkansas. Only a judge can commit someone to mental services, and that person has to have had legal charges against him. If you deliver yourself on your own free will, you are admitted, and still retain your...
Word on the street regarding some of the foreign sourced carry handles is that the sights are not graduated in established US Military increments. Some are reported to be made of pot metal, zinc, or such, and break easily.
Caveat Emptor.

Not to poke a hole in an otherwise decent arguement... quite a bit of WWB is loaded by Sellier & Bellot in the Czech Republic and by IMI in Israel. ;)
I recently noticed on a box of WWB "USA" ammo with a clear disclaimer reading:
