I too would like to see more DA/SA pistols with exposed hammers. I'd also like to see manual safeties on them. They are my favorite action for carry guns and it makes me sad that all the hot new carry guns seem to be striker-fired with no manual safeties.
I'd really like to see a DA/SA pistol...
It takes a lot of time. If you don't enjoy doing it and you value your time, it probably isn't worth it.
I find it to be relaxing, and I take pride in my most accurate loads, so for me it is worth it.
I did until they started paying me enough that it wasn't worth getting fired over... Now I'm just another sheeple, but a well-paid sheeple with an otherwise good job.

Elk would probably be the largest, unless hogzilla is hiding out there somewhere...
Mostly this would be used for deer and hog.
I'm not sure about range, as I'm not currently an established hunter. I'd like the kills to be clean and ethical, so as close as I need to be to make the shot, I...
I am planning to start hunting 4-legged critters in the great northwest this year. I want to use my AR-pattern lower as I've become very familiar with the cheekweld and trigger, and am confident with it. I have uppers in .22LR and 5.56NATO, but I'd like to build an upper specifically for hunting...
I've just returned to THR after a hiatus following a frustration with the amount of bickering and one-size-fits-all rules/advice spewed on the forum.
Not much has changed.
I disagree with many points in the article. I don't think a CCWer has to have an expensive or even modern firearm to be...
+1 for the ruger. I use mine as a carry gun- it's slim, smooth, snagless, and points intuitively. When I get home I slap a light on it and it becomes my nightstand gun.
Recoil is well managed by the second recoil spring. Very easy to shoot fast.
It sounded to me like OP has a PGO model and would lke a shoulder stock. IMHO that's totally reasonable. If he wants a stock with a recoil gadget on or in it then why not? It is his money after all.
If he had a brand new shotgn with a standard stock on it I'd agree with you guys that he should...
I used to believe that. I remember seeing videos of a guy shooting a shotgun with one hand while standing on a ladder with one foot, teaching that proper technique allows the shooter to overcome shotgun recoil.
I've shot countless rounds through my trusty old 500 and hadn't been bruised or...
