    El Paso Saddlery

I have been wearing EP Saddlery ranger belts for years to haul my concealed P220 around, and just tonight ordered a holster and casrtridge slide from them so I can carry a .45 Colt SA concealed occasionally. I have had nothing but good experiences with www.epsaddlery.com However, my...

    Anyone Carry A S&W 686 2.5" as CCW?

For years I switched back and forth for my daily concealed carry gun between this 2.5 inch 66 in the warm weather- and a SIG P220 .45ACP in cool weather. It finally dawned on me that the bigger SIG was the most comfortable to carry because of it's flat sides and I now carry it year...

How do you clean the gas tube on your FAL?

What NoHarm said. I think you are using a water based solvent. I just run a pistol patch with a few drops of Hoppe's #9 or Hoppe's Benchrest down mine and never have had a problem. And I also shoot lots of milsurp in my two DSA's.

Smith and Wesson resurrects the fighting .44 Special

They, S&W, are perfectly capable of getting things right if they try. In this case the hitch in the gitalong seems to be that they have built the gun that Clint Smith wants. The assumption being that most everyone else will want one too. They are, in this case, IMO wrong.

    tell me about the 77/22

The only difference between a 10/22 mag and a 77/22 mag is the shape of the base on the mag. A 10/22 mag will extend a tiny bit past the magwell on a 77/22, while a 77/22 mag will fit flush.

    tell me about the 77/22

I bought my 77/22 stainless used just to have a .22 rifle I would not have to worry about or baby. I slapped a cheap Simmons scope on it and it has amazed me by being very nearly as accurate as my 10/22 that I have $1000 into. It even groups the notoriously inaccurate CCI Stingers well...

    Quality of Romanian Dragunov's

www.dragunov.net These rifles generally require some tinkering with to acheive anything close to their potential, but if fooling with an unusual rifle is your idea of fun they are a good bet.:) The triggers SUCK. Long, griitty, rough and inconsistent. I replaced mine with a Red Star...

Gun Kote: how comparable to Kimpro/Armortuff etc ?

The slide and some mags for this P228 are done in OD Gun Kote and the stuff has just been impressing the heck out of me with how durable it is. I also have guns with Armor Tuff, Bearcoat and Black T on them. Gun Kote is not nearly as pretty as any of them, but it appears to be...

Smith and Wesson resurrects the fighting .44 Special

You forgot to mention the absurd MSRP. Even with the normal knock off the MSRP it will still cost an amount of money that I can buy TWO fine old S&W revolvers for with no butt ugly, tacky logo glued on and no lawyer lock hole drilled in the side. I hope S&W sells a pantload of them, but...

    New PPK/S owner-- ammo/grips advice

These guns tend to run best with the hottest ammo you can find. That being either +P domestic ammo or stuff imported from europe where they load this round hotter. They have a longstanding rep for biting the hand that holds them but for some reason mine has never bitten me. If you want to...

    Gun Clubs and Dues

$300 a year. We hire a staff to maintain the club. We also have a caretaker/rangemaster that lives in a house on club grounds right beside the clubhouse to watch over the place. it is just too big and holds too many state and regional matches to rely on members showing up for work parties...

    High-capacity Hi-Point 9mm carbine.

There is a review of the Hi-Point carbine in the latest issue of GWLE. Pretty interesting Some small departments are issuing them for patrol carbines. The .40 should appear soon.
