Has anyone ever posted something like this locally? I am a new FFL Type 01 and I've decided that there is little to no money in stocking new guns. Used guns are my wheelhouse anyways so I'm thinking about posting an ad to buy any used, old, unwanted, neglected or broken firearms. I'm just...
I've worked out a deal with my local Forest Service to go once a week to the public outdoor ranges here in my county and get all the brass there. All I have to do is take the trash off and kinda tidy up. Not a bad deal. I usually come away with 2,500-4,000 pieces of brass. A lot of that is 9mm...

The rifle weighs right at 8 pounds, has a barrel length of 23.5" and has a trigger pull of 3.5 pounds. It's a dream to shoot. The recoil is barely noticeable.
I'm going to weigh it and measure the barrel length tomorrow and I'll report back here. I just discovered that this was one of the rifles that Sweden sold to Finland during the Winter War between the Fins and Soviets. It has an SA marking on the left side of the receiver. I like the way it looks...
Well I traded for this sporterized Swedish Mauser and I'll have to say that I'm impressed. Great bore and muzzle, Williams rear peep sight, Schnabel fore end with the finger grooves and an ultra smooth action.
Questions though... Has anyone heard of a Bold trigger group? This rifle has one...
Midway isn't the cheapest but it's in a decently close ballpark with the rest and I have had good luck in dealing with them. I have never bought anything online that I had to pay HazMat shipping on either. All my powder and primers have been bought through a LGS or Cabela's. Maybe my two presses...
I was reading today in another online forum about the age old question "Is it really worth it to reload?" There were a lot of replies where guys broke it down to a diluted scale concerning their start up costs. A few guys said that it's not worth it if you aren't a volume shooter (over 10,000...
It's actually not very old. About a 1992 model. And I just got through working up some full power loads behind a 450 grain Barnes TSX BULLET. We will see how they fare this weekend.
Yes I do handload and that makes it considerably more affordable. No way I would wanna pay $75 a box.
The recoil actually isn't all that bad. It's more of a hard push than a sharp kick. I've honestly shot 3" magnums that kicked worse.
I neck shoot my deer anyways. So this shouldn't make much...
I traded this week for a Ruger No. 1-H in .458 Win Mag. Why? I would rather ask why not? It's a beautiful rifle, it will kill anything on the planet and it's a Ruger. But seriously, I've had the big bore bug for a while now and I finally got the chance to trade around and get this bad boy so I...
Does anyone here have a personal shooting range? I've got a spot in a field by my house that is perfect for a 100 yard shooting range. This is for PERSONAL USE ONLY. I'm planning on building a berm out of fill dirt and just frame up a target stand in front of that. Nothing over the top. Just...
I have a buddy trying to sell me a Browning BAR .300 WSM Mark II with the BOSS system on it. I think I can get it for $500. It looks to be in beautiful shape but I haven't got to see it in person yet. I'm just not sure at all about the left handed thumbhole stock. I'm not left handed so it's...
I have a guy wanting to sell an Interarms Mark X in 7mm (whether that is Rem Mag or Mauser I have no idea) and a Smith and Wesson 1500 in 300 Win Mag.
Neither look like they are perfect but the Smith looks quite a bit better than the Interarms. I'd like to know a rough value on both of them...
It's no buzzkill. I was scratching my head at what the problem could be. It will be a couple days before I get around to shooting it again. I will post on here what the new readings are.
