Draw your weapon to fire or to scare away?

so in the 4 guys scenario as described, at what point do *you* shoot? I don't mean this to be insulting to your posted response. I would like your (and others') opinion(s) because this is something I don't have clearly worked out in my mind. Do you wait until one of them hits you? If you...

Draw your weapon to fire or to scare away?

Having recently posted a situation I found myself in, and realizing how differently it was perceived among the responders (everyone draws their own picture in their own mind), I will not judge the OP for his actions. He knows how he felt at the moment and all the nuances that don't come across...

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

agreed. This is why I pulled over in the first place - to asses the situation and see what I was dealing with. He was pulled over on the shoulder. I pulled up beside him, still in the middle of the roadway at about his back wheel, the bike still in gear. I was probably 6 feet from his vehicle. I...

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

not really an option. If I was in an enclosed vehicle, it would be different. He was 6 feet away coming towards me. I was on my motorcycle and had zero maneuverability. Phone was in front pants pocket Gun was in breast jacket pocket. He would have been on me by the time I got my phone out' let...

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

oh, I forgot to mention...the first thing I did when I walked in my door was call 911. The cop said that there wasn't much that they could do because everything I described was "traffic infractions". That blew me away.

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

thanks for all the comments. Much appreciated. One thing I didn't mention because I didn't really think it was relevant at the time is that the motorcycle I was riding at the time was a custom, wide tire show bike. The significance being that it doesn't really accelerate or corner like a...

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

I thought about not stopping as well, but he had already pulled over and that would have put him behind me and able to pull out and run me off the road from behind. It was in a residential area with no public places for a couple of miles. At that moment, I assumed he pulled over to get behind me.

potential "situation" the other day - opinions wanted

I was riding my motorcycle the other day doing the speed limit on a back road and saw a car on a side street (right hand side) about 1/4 mile ahead of me. He was stopped at a stop sign apparently waiting to enter the street I was riding on. As I approached, while he had plenty of time to enter...

    NRA Lawsuit against Washington State

Mine also came up with a wait when I bought my gun from Kesselring's. Apparently (according to Kesselring's) this is typical for law enforcement, millitary and aliens. The gun shop can call the powers that be and have a supervisor look into it and possibly override it, whhich is what happened in...

you sure about #3? a nonimmigrant wa state resident needs an afl, but it is ok for nonimmigrants who are not wa state residents to carry firearms without an afl?

    NRA Lawsuit against Washington State

Well since you asked...I picked up a S&W M&P 40 CW a couple of weeks ago at Kesselrings. S&W has a promotion on right now for 2 extra free clips (total 4). I tried the Glock 26, 27 but the grip was too short for my hand. Was seriously looking at the Kahr CW40 but I didn't like the feel of...

    Question for non-US members

I'm a Canadian living in the US. I moved here from the Vancouver area in 1998. I recently applied for and received my AFL and CPL and I recently purchased a pistol, which I now carry with me almost everywhere I go. I don't feel or act like a cowboy, however I do feel like I have another option...

    Seattle Gun Rights Examiner

Keselrings in Sedro Woolley also sells it. I thumbed through it while I waited for "the powers that be" to process me when I purchased a gun. Great book. Very practical. I bought a copy. A quick note on the "processing"... after going through the AFL process and, from what I understand, the...
