    Got My Old Gun Back

Charlie if I decide to sell I will give you first shot. Fair enough? I would rather see someone here get it than some stranger off of gunbroker. Thanks - just so you know that it would be going to a good home, I will share that I have a 4" 66-1 that I would pair with the 6".

    Got My Old Gun Back

If you are serious about selling, I would buy that 66 in a heartbeat.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Ordered a replacement grip for my Uberti - ready to fit and finish.

I've seen some cringe worthy acts at the range but this is.....

I bet there was a table off camera where all those bubbas put down their beers.

Have you ever backed out of selling someone a gun, "just because", of a feeling.

One or two of the local suburban Police stations in Central Kansas have designated "transaction spaces" in their parking lots -- I think this is a novel approach to providing peace of mind about private party firearm sales.

They are on the Henry webpage --starting price is $850 for the Big Boy Steel standard or carbine.

Bought an LCR 327 Federal yesterday

I have the LCR .327, and the 85 grain loads are a lot softer shooting than the Federal 100 grain cartridges -- the 85's are rated at 1400 fps and 400 ft/lbs, the 100's are 1500 fps and 500 ft/lbs. In the lightweight LCR, my experience is that the 100 grain Federals are the stoutest by far, with...

Which one is a better 1911, Ruger or Remington ?

This is really not an "either/or question" as far as I am concerned. I have both -- a Remington R1 Enhanced, and a Ruger SR1911 Commander, and I enjoy shooting each of them. They are both are well made, reliable and accurate. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

    Better than nothing?

Just to be contrary, I will support your HRR plan -- I have one now that is fun to shoot and pretty accurate. Running the 22 Mags through it is icing on the cake. This is actually my second HRR -- on the first one the barrel was clocked off a few degrees so the POA was off. I traded that...

What's the oldest gun you own ?

I have my mother's "rabbit rifle" - it is a Stevens Little Scout, probably from the 1920's. Falling block style, single shot .22, and a surprisingly good shooter. The gun is worn and has a different forestock and front sight, so it is far from collector condition, but when I think about my mom...

    .327 conversion???

FWIW - Just get a .327 and you can shoot all the .32 rounds. That is one of the considerations that led to the purchase of the Taurus M327 I have on the way.
