    Southern Michigan Deer Rifle

$899 on GB. 20" stainless on the M77 action. The "standard" muzzle brakes that are typically on these 450's are much overrated in my opinion. Plus they look goofy.

    Southern Michigan Deer Rifle

I'm in the same thought process. I've pretty much settled on the TC Katahdin 460 (I would pair it with a 209x50 barrel for the M/L season). The 450BM is no slouch though. I've seen what it does to deer, and worked as a range officer at my club during "sighting in days" time where we are open...

Help with ID of old milsurps?

The 1903 was a High number, numbers all matching Remington. But it had 4 holes drilled and tapped in it, close together, probably from an old peep or something

Help with ID of old milsurps?

I got the eddy. I think it's a Remington/eddystone, not a winchester? But what is the W on the front lu g area?

Help with ID of old milsurps?

These we likely collected in the early 90s or 80 even. Probably why they are so nice still.

Help with ID of old milsurps?

Thanks everyone. The k98 may have been redone, my buddy just inherited them and seems to remember his father doing that. He says I can have one...any one I want. I really like the eddystone, but always wanted a m1903. But I didn't even know what an eddystone was till today. I will likely...

Help with ID of old milsurps?

Can somebody please help me identify these? I don't have access to the numbers on them right now but will be able to see more tomorrow. I'm trying to help a friend figure out what these are exactly?

Is the 338 Federal ever going to have a heyday?

Marketing is the killer. As long as they keep telling us to use, and buy sub caliber rifles the 338 fed will only be used and desired by the experienced. The trend seems to be to kill as far as possible, with the least recoil. I'd take the bigger bullet and closer range any time. The problem...

    338-06 vs 35 Whelen

Based on the way my 350rm and 35w hammer Michigan whitetail, I would choose the 35 over the . 338. I've used and own all 3. (.338rm). The 35 seems more impressive in the now of the situation. All 3 do the job, no question. I'm sure the bullet selection is one of the main factors, but the...

    223 bolt actions..?

+1 for the Tikka. I got a stainless T3 and found that if i just want to go plink and what not, its my go to rifle. Varmints and Tannerite too. Its also a full size gun, similar to what you may hunt with, so its good for practicing offhand and whatnot

    .270 wsm

Glad to see you got it. What was it? Also to note, I've had a problem in the past where matching brands of the shell holder to the die fixed this issue. Ex. Lee shell holder in with RCBS die didn't like each other for some reason. Maybe a one-off, but worth noting.

    RIP RC Model sad news

I learned so much from him. We will always use his posts a a reference as they are timeless to the reloading community. I used to want to comment on some "questionable" questions or posts but knew he would always have a better answer. lol

    10/22 Accuracy

My 10/22 was my first gun and is a mid 90's model stainless. Bought new, I beat the crap out of it as a kid. Later in life when I started caring more about accuracy I put a good scope on it and tried a bunch of different ammo. Probably 15 types. Blazer 22 of all things shoots by far the...
