    What Happened to Packing.org

Guy who ran it went to law school, I think. In which case, there just isn't time for anything else.

    GF does NOT like guns...

Life's too short to live with a castrating harpy. Run. Married for 7+ years to a princess whose only complaint about guns is that I talk about 'em too much, to the exclusion of more mutually interesting topics. She doesn't care to shoot nor carry a pistol, but is learning her way around a...

    4" Model 13 price check

Looking for a price check on a 4" Model 13 .357, and I'd like more experienced eyes than mine to give it a look-see. Trigger is pretty smooth. Pics at http://offloadingstuff.blogspot.com/. Thanks much!

Decent price for Security Six 2.75"?

Folks, What's a decent price for a 2.75" blue Ruger Security Six .357 that's in "very good" condition, excepting very mild pitting on the backstrap and a turn ring on the cylinder? Thanks!

    S&W M13 question--cylinder closing problems

Back with another newbie question. I was out shooting my S&W M13 (4" .357 K-frame) today; shooting some commercially reloaded 158 gr. lead SWC .38's, which shot pretty dirty. Anyway, after my first or second cylinder of said reloads I ejected the spent shells w/out a problem...

    Security-Six frame/crane gap?

Guys -- thanks. I love this forum. Timing is fine and, as is typical for Rugers, lockup is great. Would welcome any more opinions/advice! Keep 'em coming!

    Security-Six frame/crane gap?

Another question from the revolver newbie: Purchased a 2-3/4" Ruger Security-Six over the internet a little while back. It's got a gap between the frame and the crane. Should I be concerned? How much? Eventually I'll figure out what I'm doing when buying these things.

Anyone catch the Today show bit about the Air Marshall shooting?

Borachon, You've flown once in fifteen years. Generalizing your one-time experience with TSA folks at the Memphis airport to every bunch of screeners everywhere makes no sense. You don't have a sufficient base of experience to make the assertions you're making about airport security...

So . . . exactly how bad is my forcing cone eroded?

Everyone, Thanks very much for the helpful replies. My near-total ignorance about revolvers has been remedied somewhat. :p My concern stemmed from comparing the near-virgin forcing cone of my 442 with that of my Model 13. The difference is pretty stark; hence my alarm. Compounding my...

And yes, I paid too much, and yes, I am a yutz. Browbeat away. Just let me know what my options are. :o
