    100 grn 300 Blackout

I have a fun load for my 300 BO using 110 gr 30 carbine bullets and 18.5gr of H110/296. Awesome little plinker for me out to about 250-300 yards. I don't see those being an issue in a 300 BO bolt rifle but in an SLR that exposed lead point might be an issue? Might leave lead deposits on the...

    Lapua 6.5x55 troubles

Not sure if this would work or even tell you anything...but maybe take a black marker and cover two pieces of brass - one Laupua that has the issues and one that you don't have issue with. Chamber them up and see what/where the contact patterns are? You mentioned the possible issue - the case...

    7.62x39 Ackley Improved (30 PPC)

I believe what you are aiming for is a 30 Major so there should be a reamer out there already for it? D

Rossi Survival Rifle in .45 colt....... and of course .410

As I do love my Contenders I know of the 450 Mungo (444 Marlin fireformed for 452 dia bullets) and then used in the 45/410 contender barrels to keep that bullet jump down to a minimum to increase accuracy. I think I've heard folks using 410 full brass shells as well Remember, not much that...

    Just one question: WHY?

I've seen someone do something similar with an AK. My opinion? Do stupid things and win stupid prizes. He's lucky there wasn't a need for EMS. Secondly, since it IS youtube, it likely will also promote, slightly, the perceived notion that gun owners aren't quite smart. :( I say...

    .223 Bolt Options...

223? you can get 10-12 grains of bluedot and have a nice quiet load. Put on a can and even better. Sorry for any post derail :(

    .223 Bolt Options...

My Ruger American is a nice shooter. 16" threaded and with a can and bluedot loads is movie level of noise (of course not a 300 yard round lol) If I had a bigger budget I'd look at a Tikka or Sako. D

Just in Time for Christmas - Vista Corp. price increases

well I've been playing with Remington primers since I can find some of them...Fiocchi seems to be about a bit for me as well...there is Winchester primers...Hodgdon and Accurate powders are what I've been playing with lately...will I miss CCI? Probably? I've got 4 lbs of Blue Dot that will...

Where are Reloading Components Available/On Sale (Not a Discussion Thread, Link Required)

So...large rifle primers seem to be made of unobtanium. I found 2000 #34's near Fredericksburg, TX and was happy to find them. But the Buda Cabelas seems to have a good stash of small rifle and pistol primers as of 25 November. Plus they have a good selection of powder on the shelf for pistol...

Two years after Russian ammo ban?

yeah my problem is I have an AK-74 style rifle and I just don't even bother shooting it for now since the 5.45 ammo is a bit rare. I'm sitting on a decent amount but as others have said there is a big draw for that stuff in the East. :(

Two years after Russian ammo ban?

Red Army brand has many different plants across the old East Bloc nations. Belom/Global Ordnance is out of Poland. I'm sure there are others?

How old is this ammo? And what is this caliber??

wow....that is some awesome stuff! The Jet is, as stated by Jim and unspellable, a 357 mag case necked to a 22. Most times nowadays you will see it chambered in the Contender single shot pistol. The 7mm is 7mm Mauser likely. You can measure it out......you can check the base - should be .473"...
