SIG 220 Legion 10mm - any factory holsters?

So, I'm having trouble finding a factory holster for the SIG 220 Legion in 10mm. I got the SA/DA one (it was a hard choice, the SA Only is real nice.) Ideally I'd like to get both a strong side OWB holster and a vertical shoulder holster for this gun. I spoke to someone at Galco and he...

    Did H&K ever make revolvers?

Who are good gun-nut writers who routinely get it right? The entire Bob Lee Swagger series (which the movie and TV series "Shooter" were based upon) by Stephen Hunter are pretty excellent in that regard. Bob Lee at one point takes to carrying a .38 Super Commander. I remember his loving...

    Did H&K ever make revolvers?

Sadly, the author has passed away. The book is one of the ones written by E. Howard Hunt, the former CIA officer and leader of both the Watergate and Bay of Pigs operations. (Which may suggest he was better at writing then covert ops!) He wrote a ton of books, many under pseudonyms, and...

    Did H&K ever make revolvers?

I was reading a circa 1990 crime novel and the protagonist is armed, at one point, with a "issue H&K .38". I did some web-searching, but didn't come up with any info on them, if they ever existed. I know a lot of authors just make up things that sound good when they write about guns...

    Caliber Wars: then and now

I'm pretty intrigued by the USPc .45. It's the gun that inspired me to start this thread, because I find myself wondering if I should go for the 9mm version instead. Of course, once you decide on the 9mm it's tempting to go for an even smaller gun like one of the micro-9s. LIke the Beretta...

    Caliber Wars: then and now

So many excellent replies. Thanks! One trend I see in the responses is that gun choice influences caliber choice a lot. If you find a gun that shoots a round well, you are going to like that round. Interesting to see that quite a few people have gone through changes over time in their...

    Caliber Wars: then and now

Back in the stone age of the 1980s we had the caliber wars. The 9mm then (as now) was the go to cartridge for a lot of police organizations moving away from revolvers. There were problems and criticisms of it being somewhat ineffective in some scenarios. There was much love for the 9mm too...

Need Recommendations For An AR Platform .308/7.62 Rifle

"I like my Colt". Does Colt make .308 caliber AR's. Last I saw they only had the .223/5.56 caliber.

    Long Barreled AR's - let's see 'em !

I found this one example, over at The Firing Line forum, and it's a 24" barrel according to the text. I am planning on having a flash-hider on it, but not a full suppressor as I'm not interested in the hassle and paperwork. So this is useful, it's an AR-15 for the 6.5G.

    Long Barreled AR's - let's see 'em !

I found this. Why use calculations to figure out barrel length effect on bullet velocity when you have a Skil Saw! Cutting up a Creedmoor

    Long Barreled AR's - let's see 'em !

Email exchange with a friend of mine in which I was discussing possibly getting a new barrel for my AR-10. The 18" Bull is super accurate, but loud and has a lot of flash. It's also in .308. I was considering a nice long barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor, but he said "long barrels look ugly on...

    which Savage

Savage used to be the low cost alternative to Remington and Winchester. Now, not so much. What it comes down to is that if you want a .300 Rem Mag rifle for hunting with a floor plate there are only two: one is $1100, the other stainless goes for $1175. A Remington Long Range Hunter...

    which Savage

Savage has gone from having a very easy to understand lineup naming / numbering scheme to having a really confusing one. Thanks to OP for the question and various answers, it's a good question and I bet others besides you have it. I'm in a similar position but looking to get a Long...

New Dan Wesson's from CZ: Will there be a .44?

Anyone know much about what is going on with the Dan Wesson revival over at CZ? I know they started making the model 715 .357 last year, and it seems to have been well received by those who have shot it. Probably like a lot of people I was hoping that the .357 would be followed by a .44...
