So this might take the cake...I’ve bought this exact Model 28-2 back not once, but twice. I’ve learned my lesson for sure—the full story is in this thread here.
I get where you’re coming from, but I had a low-powered red laser pointed in my eyes a few years ago from about 100m away and it was unbelievably bright (stupid kids ) so having a higher-powered green laser would probably be more disorienting to any possible foes. If it were me I’d keep...
I put a green laser Crimson Trace sidesaddle on mine and I was surprised at how accurate I could be with it—holding it about chest high I could get about a 10” group at 25m, and inside it’s very bright. I’d have more confidence in the M4, myself, though.
The ASP 9mm pistol (which was customized from a S&W Model 39) had a sighting system called the “guttersnipe” which loois to be not night and day different is use from the Meprolight sight.
I’m more of a semi-auto guy but I do enjoy a good revolver, too. I’ve got six—here are mine from the longest-owned to most-recent:
Ruger GP100
Colt Detective Special
S&W CS-1
S&W Model 49 Bodyguard
S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman
Colt Python 2020
