    45 xtp colapsing case

thanks for the replies I cleaned the die to insure any lube that may have remained from loading LSWC's. It seems that the combo of lube in the die and the XTP being a little on the large size caused some cases to hang up and crush. working great now.

    45 xtp colapsing case

This is the first time I have had this problem loading 45's. I have reloaded well over 10,000 rounds and this is the first time I have had a problem with cases collapsing while seating the bullet. I am loading some XTP's into nickel cases and they are collapsing badly. The first one I thought...

    308 150 gr Barnes OAL 2.81?

The confusing part is Barnes calls out a 2.81" OAL in their own load data off of their website for that bullet. I have found other load data for it from different sources and all callout 2.81"

I am getting ready to load up some 308 150gr Barnes TTSX and the load data in all my references that I find calls out an OAL of 2.80 - 2.81. I decided to pull out some Barnes factory ammo 150gr TTSX and measure it. the factory ammo is 2.70 2.71 and crimped. Any feedback would be appreciated...

Lyman load data VS. Lee load data

The primers specified: Lyman: LRM Hodgdon: LRM Lee: LR But the load data is exactly the same from Lee & Hodgdon. I have seen where people have said that mag primers make a difference and NEVER use magnum primers with VV powder and yet Lyman list vv (N110) with magnum primers.

Lyman load data VS. Lee load data

I was a a bit surprised when I compared load data between my 49th ed Lyman reloading manual and my 2nd ed Lee Modern Reloading manual for S&W460 load data. Lyman: Barnes XPB 250 gr., H110 powder Starting : 36.5gn Max: 38.5gn 1985 fps 2123 fps Lee: Barnes...

L.E. Wilson or Foster Case Trimmer?

I am looking at the Foster Case Trimmer but keep looking back at the Wilson. Is it worth the money to buy the Wilson? Is there different Trimmer I should consider and why? I wil be using this initially only for S&W 460 mag cases.

S&W 460 XVR, Best Load for Elk

Thanks for the feedback I want to thank you guys for the feedback. I was just surprised to find not published load data even from Barnes site for the Buster 325. You would at least think the mfg would publish some loading data when they intend on manufacturing and selling a specific bullet...
