that is one pretty .22 Mal thanks for sharing :) i would like something a little more substantial for a trigger guard and butt plate but if it shoots well why worry
bummer on the lack of a firing pin :'( i never tore down a lot on mine, everything on her seems "serviceable" even though there is evidence of some bubba home gunsmithing. so far after a brick of Armscor .22lr i am itching for the Williams too get in the mail. she shoots better than i expected...
on a side note the finish is a little prone to rusting compared too my newer firearms any recommendations on a new finish before i attempt too bed her?
my little .22 got her dialed in with the currently fragile and touchy sights waiting for the Williams too come in :D i hope too one day teach my children on her. decided too go with acraglass on a gunsmiths recommendation will try and show ya how she comes out on a better camera

i usually run a few semi wad cutters in mine (loaded by a local reloader who does great work) only time my marlin hiccuped was the first attempted round and i have had no problem 600 rounds later. although one rifle is not the same as another
anyone know if the Williams sight is any good? so far i only have some refinishing of the stock done too it. after this sight, some sling swivels, and what not i would love too use her as a drag around plinking/emergency dinner acquirer. on the beat up sights she has i can usually put one ragged...
she aint in bad shape just seems like the previous owner must have thought a sledge hammer was effective to adjust the sights but i managed too save her from my usual gun shops racks :D
