Great report. CZ's only get better from there. Try one without the decocker some time, and especially any that have been through CZ Custom like the Shadow T. Amazing guns, especially for the money.
Armybrat - that is exactly why I'm asking the question.
All went well. The evening was a private retirement party for an individual that we presented with a very nice lever-action rifle. I wanted to be within the gun laws, which explains all of my questions.
The funny part was going...
Correct that we rented the space, it is just the space we rented, an we don't have alcohol present or available on the premises. I think we're OK because alcohol isn't available, but otherwise the 51% rule seems to apply regardless of who rents the premises or how they are used.
Agreed with the meaning of the law. I've been reading the TABC and Texas Penal Code info and it is all very poorly written. The term "weapon" and "concealed handgun" are used interchangeably. As I understand it the 51% Sign rule covers concealed handguns, according to Texas Penal Code 30.06...
We're having an event at a hall in Texas where no liquor will be served, and it is a private event, but the hall itself has a Texas 51% sign due to the fact that when a caterer is contracted for the hall they do often serve alcohol. We plan to present an attendee with a rifle as a retirement...
I'm not really sure how wacky he is. He has made a LOT of money doing what he does. I think it is a shtick, as the comics used to say.
By the way, I knew Glenn as a teenager; went to school with him and sat next to him in a class or two. Nice guy, well-spoken, and intelligent. But I...
Whomever has what I want and a good deal on it, gets my business.
The local gun shows have a number of dealers that come in from farther away than I typically visit, so it is nice to go to a show and see a bunch of different inventories all at once. Some of the best deals I've gotten at gun...
How about a Rossi in .45LC?
The more I think about it, the Henry Mare's Legs could be great home defense guns:

I personally think a semi-auto .45ACP carbine using standard 1911 magazines would be a very nice little weapon. To my knowledge one hasn't been mass-produced, although I've seen custom bolt-action carbines like this.
CZ's are great bolt-action rimfire rifles; I have a 452 American and a 455 Lux and can't say enough good things about them. Just saw a new 452 Military Trainer for $340 and really had to resist adding it to the collection.
10/22's are great semi-auto rifles. Not much not to like, and they are...
Not in this day and age. How do you know they would know how to properly use the weapon you had? I could see somehow a liability issue coming your way. I personally do not think it is responsible to hand a weapon to someone unless you know they are completely familiar with the proper...
