    45-70 Henry

pardon me if this has already been asked and answered... I’m trying to find reloading data for a Henry 45-70 (tube loader style) lever action rifle. I have been looking through my books and I see ruger (which I believe it too high pressure loads for my rifle) and I see marlin as well as...

    Case burn??

Thank you! Yeah. Right now it's a lengthy drive to the range so I like to have a few different loads per caliber to make it worth my while. Moving to some land soon so this will all change ..I'll get to shoot daily ;-)

    Case burn??

I may try to bump up the 9mm slightly and see what happens. maybe .5gr increments and see how it goes. As for the 115gr .40; I mis-typed and they are 155gr not 115. I seem to type that a lot ;-) I attached the data I got from the site, i would think that 5.2gr would be ok, maybe I have to...

    Case burn??

Sunray - im kind of confused here.. you say that 4.4gr on the 9mm 115gr FMJ is below minimum. (I am by no means questioning you, you probably have more experience than me in they area) but the load data I have seen is for WIN231/HP-38 is at 4.1gr for the low and up to 4.7 for the high. This is...

    Here something for you experts

Yeah. They seem to plunk in the barrel just fine. I'll check with my calipers and see what I find. Thanks man. I appreciate it!!

    Here something for you experts

so reloading .40 cal shot through a glock 23 with a wolf barrel After shooting, de-capping and sizing (rcbs die..single die for both functions) I get something weird So I have a 8 in 1 Lyman case gauge I picked up from bass pro... You see in the first picture the brass drops in just let...

    Case burn??

I use a few guides The hp38 says 5.1 but the hornady says 4.1 as the low and 4.7 as the high. So I just stuck in the middle. My fault. They are 155gr flatpoint for the 40. (Always seem to write them as 115 here for some reason)

    Case burn??

hi everyone, Question..I took some first reload up to the range and I am seeing some powder burning on the side of the cases (which I normally don't see with factory loads) and I am wondering if I'm either not crimping enough or maybe the charge isn't enough. I attached a picture of some .40...

    Glock 23 gen 3 / berrys flatpoint

Sorry. I'll have to rephrase then. Normally I shoot FMJ which have a thicker plating over the LEAD bullet. Berrys LEAD bullet has a thinner copper plating sprayed on. It's a softer metal component and it is not bonded the same was to the LEAD bullet as the FMJ. SORRY

    Glock 23 gen 3 / berrys flatpoint

..sorry about that..type-o. They are 155gr

    Glock 23 gen 3 / berrys flatpoint

I've always had a hard time with crimps..I use the rcbs die set and as far as I can tell I am doing the crimps. I just lower the die until it touches the case mouth, then back it off a bit, set the bullet depth, back that off, then lower the die until it just touches the case again and then give...

    Glock 23 gen 3 / berrys flatpoint

hi all!.. So after loading about 30 round with my starting charge I apparently wasn't thinking and loaded berrys bullets (115gr flatpoint) come to find out they are lead...noticed that when I didn't flare the case enough on some testing blanks and it sheared off the side of the bullet..was...

    .40 S&W load data

Hi everyone... i normally load 9mm and other rifle rounds, but I am going to start loading for my .40 cal pistol I was wondering if someone could post me the load data for .40 s&w - i am having a hard time nailing down accurate load data. I am using HP-38 (which i have been told that it is...

    9mm luger expand/crimp

ah.. ok.. i guess i was doing it right. It passed the case gauge , cambering test and the plunk test. Something I never noticed before on this SR9 (because I normally have a glock .23 as my carry and use it at the range) if you slide the camber back slowly into position with a round in it, it...
