You may have to adjust the pivot to find the sweet spot. Also twist the knife slightly as you draw. Using the wave will never be as dependable as a fixed blade, but you can get pretty consistant with practice.
I haven't found a paddle that I would feel comfortable wearing in public.(the holsters tend to stand out away from the belt line and print pretty badly) I use a paddle holster for the range sometime but that is about it.
Look into a quality inside the waistband holster, I'm skinny and can...
As long as the rails were kept lubed, there should be relatively little wear. Sigs are built to take a beating. How old is this gun, I thought all newer 220's
were external extractors. I have about 1500 through mine and beside some slight holster wear it shoots better than new.
Lately, my edc has been my Benchmade 950 Rift. I scratched the blade somehow so I polished it:
Or I'll take a pick out of the rest of the gang:
The Emerson Karambit with the Commander Blade is also now polished:)
And this is probably my favorite combo, just missing my surefire:
I picked up a P220 from Bass Pro Shops in MI. It was $720.00 a few months back. The model I have came with 2 8rd mags. Model info from the case reads:P220R3 Carry Supreme, P220R345BTNS. It appears to be the same as the pistol pictured above, but without the stainless slide, at least it isn't...
My P220 in SAO. I have the carry model on the elite frame, so the full size is calling me. I can shoot the carry @ 25yrds. so I can't imagine the longer barrel/slide.
Mine seems to like everything, except Cor-bon. They don't fit into the magazine.(at least the two hat came with the gun. I can load one, but that is it.
Any of the Emerson Snubby models. Especially the waved variety. Full size handles, titanium liner lock, G-10 scales, and the fastest opening of any folder. Also US made. Prices are on the steep side, but if you shop around deals can be had. My buddy picked up a mini CQC-7 new for 100$. I...
I'd buy it but I already have a P220 SAO. Great solid feel, accurate too.
If you are used to other auto pistols the slide stop can take some getting used to. For the price, jump on it.
I carry my P220 SAO in a Galco Summer Comfort, or SkyOps depending if I have to tuck my shirt in. Those are the holsters I have specifically for the gun. Strangely enough it fits all the leather I have for my XD .45 compact.
