The stainless Colts were manufactured in 1982 as the Generation 2. I know there were only 490 made in the 1851 configuration, don't recall the number of 1860's but I believe it was under a 1000.

Here are two consecutive serial numbered stainless Colts I once owned. Colt made a small run in the 1860 & 1851.

Might check with Tip Curtis ([email protected]) he had some awhile back. The was a rumor that Rice Barrel was going to offer a drop in for the T/C. I have not verified this rumor yet.
