No this is the original guide rod. It had a black coating of some sort it might have been really thin bluing. A wire wheel took it right off and then I polished it. Personally I think the CW45 is the best sized .45 to carry it fits well in the hand and the barrel is long enough to provide good...

Fortunately the slide catch is injection molded and not machined, meaning the metal is a little softer and easier to remove. All I did was use a buffing wheel with some very hard compound and rolled the edges after a little while it just smoothed right down!

Colt has just recently released the Delta Elite again. This would be my choice before any other. EAA makes a witness in 10mm, the full size and compact. I know some others make them but these are the only two that immediately come to mind.

Just thought I would show you guys my Kahr CW45 that I've done a little work on. I polished up the entire barrel/guide rod assembly, magazine and the slide latch. I added the fiber optic sight awhile back. If you want to see the real difference just google a pic of a standard cw45.

#4 magnum buckshot is a pretty devastating load, 41 .24 cal pellets make a dense iron blanket that is unavoidable. Other than that "00" reduced recoil police loads are preferable.

Heres My crap pieces, although they all work fine they are not of the highest quality. Accutek B9 9mm Hi Point C 9mm carbine. And a Cobray/Leinad Model DD, shoots 410 and .45LC. Ultra fun to shoot and cool novelty peice too.
