What's your "never buy" gun?

Taurus PT-22, just a plain old peice of crap.
Any Hi-point pistol, too ugly for my liking.
Tacti-crazy AR's, I feel like a jockey ****** holding one for some reason.
Bryco, Jennings, Accutek, Llama and any pot-metal guns.
 
Mossberg anything, The 500 doesn't feel like half the gun an 870 is a they shouldn't have ever started making rifles (like the .22's with the .50bmg style muzzle brakes).

Anything that doesn't have a use. A gun is a tool. I don't really care for mindless plinking. I get a kick out of the guys at the range that blow through a hundred rounds at a 25 yard target in five minutes and then turn around and leave. Every gun that I have has a purpose, mostly hunting related.

Anything with a synthetic stock if I can help it. what ever happened to wood stocks?

Anything "tactical." Although I would like to get an AR. I loved them when I was in the army and it would make a great coyote gun!

An AK I hate them almost as much as I hate their fan boys, which are usually people that have never shot one, but still they know that they are far superior to any battle rifle ever.

Anything in a rare caliber or in a >$2 a round caliber common calibers are capable of anything that the rare ones are, except that i can afford to shoot them.
 
Do not point a gun at anything you do not intend to shoot, keep it pointed in a safe direction and dont put your finger on the trigger until your ready to shoot. So Glock bashers go back to the basics of firearms safety. I sure you have your fingers on the triggers of whatever you have at all times and are thumbing the safeties down too. A double action revolver has no safety so do you have discharges with these too? The glock has three safeties. They are not all drop safeties I would suggest getting a Glock manual from someone, reading a Glock magazine, going on their website or reading Patrick Sweeneys book of the Glock. Education will help you understand the system. I do realize you probably will never like Glocks. But at least read the rules of gun safety.
 
Big Mistake?

Para Ordnance P13=biggest headache. I should have just bought a Springer Trophy Match from the start, it would have cost the same.
Olympic Arms AR15=next biggest headache. I was trying to support the local economy and got this problem even they couldn't fix for the next year.
 
Blackwalnut, you can talk till you're blue in the face. If someone doesn't like a glock let them. All I know is if I had to go back to active duty and could carry anything, anything for sand, mud, sea, rain, jungle it sure wouldn't be a 1911, HP, HK, Taurus, etc... It would be that ugly plastic Austrian contraption that just won't die. I've got Springers, HKs, Rugers, SWs and other such pistolas but only gastons invention goes to hell and back for me.
 
by way of counterpoint, a friend had a Uberti stainless Single Action army. some of these have the replaceable firing pin bushing in the breech and others do not-just a hole. Before he got the gun, a previous owner had dry fired it enough to throw up a burr and cause some primer flow into the firing pin hole. He approached Uberti/Benelli about repairs. The person ansering the phone told him that they generally did only warrant repairs but the gunsmith said to send it in anyway.
Today, he got a call from the gunsmith at Benelli. He was sorry to say that they couldn't repair the gun but were sending him a replacement gratis.

You need to purchase from more reasonable parties/dealers . My Ser.70 has had TWO function failures in the last 2,000 + rounds . Both were ammunition related and consisted of a stovepipe and failure to completely return to battery . Tap , rack , bang in both cases .
I'm sure you expected at least one of us 1911 zealots to comment :D

All of you Hi Point haters are cheating yourself out of an affordable, accurate, reliable and most of all FUN AS HELL shooting experience. I'd take mine to the range before any other gun I own if I just wanted to have some good old fun.

Ruger 10/22T. Jam-o-matic. Sent it back to the factory. Still Jam-o-matic
 
Glock. Not that there's anything wrong with them, they just don't suit my hands. If the top of the grip frame extended back another quarter inch, they would be fine. As it is, with a firm high grip, the slide rubs the skin off within a couple of magazines.
 
Any thing Sig related.....cause they wouldn't warranty my wife's off duty pistol that was less than 3 months old......plus they are rude on the phone.
