After seeing that thread go a long while with people rattling off just about every firearm manufacturer in existence, I'd like to see what people want to buy (for what few of them exist,).

Scenario: Given the right circumstances, what is a firearm (or brand of firearms) that you would buy in a heartbeat. A gun that just tickles your fancy and makes (or would make) you get up in the morning to go shoot.

For me it's pretty much anything made by CZ. I'm in love with walnut and blued steel and have been highly impressed with their CS and QC.

Any older S&W revolver or Colt revolver always piques my interest. Only the ones in very good condition.

Next is my love affair with older (Series 70 or before) Colt 1911 Government models. Again, only the ones in very good condition. Especially a minty Gold Cup NM gun.

Finally in rifles the early Remington 700 series guns as well as early Winchester 70 series guns.

Those would be my in a heartbeat guns. :)

I'm pretty much like Reloadron in that I'm always on the lookout for older S&W revolvers and anything Colt.

I don't have one yet, but, given ammo and a place to run it, I'd pick up a lever rifle in .357 Magnum in a heartbeat. Love the looks, heft, feel, and operation of them.

When it comes to rifles there will always be that certain something about the lure of a fine looking lever gun. Maybe I watched too many cowboy movies as a kid or something?

Could be a lot of must buy guns.

If I run across a gun in a shop's used case that's offered at well below market value, I'm gonna have a look, even if it's not a gun I want for myself.

In theory, as long as the right to sell privately owned firearms is preserved, a person could flip guns and make a tidy profit.

-Reasonably priced used Savage 30-06.
-M1 Carbine not crazy expensive, I'm still wondering my I didn't buy one while they were staring me in the face at the CMP north store a few years ago.
-Cheap AR lowers

Any pre-lock, pre-MIM Smith and Wesson K-frame revolver with a two, two and a half, three or four inch barrel ... blued, stainless or nickel with a decently cared-for finish, good lock-up and timing ...

Won't pass up any SIG-Sauer P228 or 226, older German/West German without a stinkin' rail, either.

No brand I like enough to enjoy every model gun they have. Ruger is close, but I don't like their pistols. Glock is also close. As far as specific firearms, a Gen3 Glock 19 or 34 would be an "always buy," as would a Colt 6920 and Arsenal SGL21.

Every gun I own, and many that I don't.

I found something worthy. It's SLE 'Vertical' game gun choked 1/4-1/2. I find the following features alluring: hand engraved action with 100% coverage, rust blued barrels, gold-washed lock work, hidden lock plate release, finely checkered wood including butt plate, hand fitted internal parts, solid rib file cut by hand, double Purdey underbites plus Kersten x-bolt. The gun was made to balance at the "hinge pin". No more mass produced junk for me.

ill always buy any quality gun in more common calibers, that is priced well below market value for whatever reason.if i dont need it someone else will and at a small profit for me.

i will never buy a gun that i dont know anything about, have no idea of the value or am not sure if i can get parts for it if it doesnt function correctly.
