That burro heard the old family legend about what happened to the LAST relative to get in the way of a jeep...
If we're REALLY down to a "what gun for donkeys" thread, a Single Action Army backed up with a .357 Registered Magnum was Patton's choice.
A person with no legal disability SHOULD be able to carry anywhere EXCEPT courthouses, police stations, jails/prisons, and mental health facilities. Unfortunately, that isn't the reality of the world we live in.
A good number of people who weigh in on threads like these answer "Glock if I have to choose, but I'm glad I don't have to."
I would have a hard time choosing between my CZ PCR and my CZ Custom SP-01. The SP-01 does shoot just a bit better, but straight up, when I handle the PCR, I can't help...
Add me to the list of people who don't reload. My father does reload, but his reloads aren't good enough to be reliable.
About all I have shot the last ten years is 9mm and .45 ACP, with a couple of boxes of .357 thrown in the mix.
OK, here's the thing. If you're shooting fast enough to put multiple cases in the air, a reasonable expectation is a double tap at 25 yards.
The NRA High Power Rifle definition of "rapid fire" is 10 rounds in 60 seconds at 200 yards, or 70 seconds at 300. The Army/CMP definition is the...
I didn't buy any guns in 2023. I sort of want to get into bullseye pistol competition, and my understanding is that anybody who is anybody, shoots bullseye pistol with an S&W 41. So that might be happening this year.
Complete the transfer at the FFL, and take possession of the gun. If you find any problems, contact Ruger. You may have to pay to ship it to Ruger. They will pay to ship it back to you.
The Model 100 was the semi-auto counterpart to Winchester's Model 88 lever-action rifle. I'll allow that they MIGHT have borrowed a simplified version of the M14 gas system, but otherwise, the two rifles aren't much alike internally.

My first question is, have you ever SEEN a black bear in the wild? I have. It was running the opposite direction as fast as it could.
To actually answer the question, get yourself any reputable brand 9mm.
As long as you aren't purposely A.) leaving out food or garbage, and B.) no one drives one to you while you're hunting, you probably never will see one. Those two scenarios are the only two times in my life I've ever seen a black bear.
While the rest of you all are debating the "one correct way" to hold a Glock and pull the trigger, I will be over here with my CZ pistols, pulling the trigger with the first knuckle of my right index finger, which if you do it with a Glock, feels kind of funny because of the "trigger dingus,"...
There is nothing inherently "wrong" with the old cup-and-saucer grip. It works fine. It's just that it fell out of use about fifty years ago.
My father tried to teach it to me when I started shooting handguns twenty years ago. I say he tried, because I can't turn my left hand so it faces palm...
